CSO Fair (6-7 November)

Forty Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) came together to celebrate the second Civil Society Fair under the theme ‘Celebrating Civil Society’ on the 6 and 7 November 2016 at the Coronation Park, Changlingmithang, Thimphu. BMF along with 8 other CSOs were the main organisers of the fair. The fair was graced by Her Majesty Gyaltsuen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck and dignitaries from the Royal Government of Bhutan, Corporate organisations, private organisations, the members of the public. The purpose of the 2016 CSO Fair was to showcase the work of civil society in contributing to the common interests and good; to highlight the needs of the civil society organisations, and to generate public interest in supporting their work. It provided a platform to promote networking and collaboration among the CSOs to strengthen their positive social impact.
