Investigative Journalism: Uncovering the Truth! (28 September)

BMF conducted a half-day session on Uncovering The Truth led by David E. Kaplan. David is the executive director of Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN), the international association of investigative reporting organisations, with 138 member groups in 62 countries. The talk was organised as a special event to engage with the media professionals during the visit of David to assess the situation of BMF as a member of GIJN. The programme took place on 28 September with attendance of 21 journalists from different media houses. Numerous issues confronting investigative journalism and topics such as fairness, determination and patience, general knowledge and good research skills, team working, communication skills and general ethical principles were discussed at length.
