Bhutan Media Forum – Day 1 Highlights (30 March 2026)

The Bhutan Media Forum commenced today in Thimphu with the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Dasho Tshering Tobgay, as Chief Guest, alongside distinguished guests, speakers, and participants from across sectors.
Held under the theme “Media in the Age of AI and Digital Transformation,” the Forum brings together diverse voices from media, government, academia, civil society, business, influencers, and youth to reflect on the rapidly evolving information landscape.
Day 1 set the stage for insightful and forward-looking dialogue on the future of media in Bhutan. Discussions explored the growing role of AI in journalism, while also addressing critical issues of trust, ethics, credibility, and innovation in today’s media environment.
