Meet-the-Press Initiative Honored with Bhutan Media Forum Award 2026

The Meet-the-Press initiative of the Royal Government of Bhutan was recognized today with the Bhutan Media Forum Award 2026 in Thimphu.
This recognition acknowledges the initiative’s exemplary contribution to advancing transparency, accountability, and open dialogue through effective media engagement. It highlights the vital role the program has played in strengthening access to information, fostering constructive government–media relations, and enhancing public trust.
In addition, this award recognizes the key roles played by the staff, in particular the Press and Media Officers of the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (OPMC)—both past and present—as well as the reporters and officials from all media houses for their cooperation in making this initiative a success.
